Makao

The briefing focused on creating the graphic identity for Makao, a new restaurant in Palafrugell offering a fusion of Mediterranean tapas and Japanese influences, including sushi. The aim was to design a visual identity that reflected this blend of traditions while maintaining an elegant, recognizable brand.

For the logo, I balanced a classic look with subtle references to Japanese aesthetics, incorporating elements like the horizontal strokes of the letter “A” and the distinctive shape of the “K.” These details subtly evoke the cultural fusion.

Additionally, I developed graphic elements, including a custom typographic pattern emphasizing the “K,” used across materials like menus and uniforms to ensure consistent branding.
